Macy's Community Shopping Day

Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, and other participating Macy's stores in California, Arizona, and Colorado.
Our objectives as a non-profit organization include promoting flamenco and other ethnic dance through performances and education, and raising funds for dance scholarships for underprivileged youth. As part of our fundraising efforts, we are selling tickets for Macy's Community Shopping Day, which takes place all day on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at participating Macy's stores. Tickets are $10 each, and the entire $10 goes directly to the Aditi Foundation. A ticket entitles you to discounts, product samplings, beauty galas, and more.
This is an annual event sponsored by Macy's as a fundraiser for local non-profits. At Macy's at Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, CA, we are performing bulerías and guajiras flamenco at 3pm and 5pm.

A ticket entitles you to a 20% or 10% discount off almost everything in the store, including regular-, sale-, and clearance-priced items, on the day of the event. A ticket also entitles you to $10 off one regular-, sale-, or clearance-priced purchase of $25 or more; so you can get back the $10 cost of a ticket by making a purchase of at least $25. (Please see notes below for more detail on what items do and don't qualify for the discount.*)
Also, a ticket comes with a form to enter a raffle for a $500 Macy's gift card. Fill out the form and deposit it in the collection box located in any participating Macy's store.
If you are unable to attend the event on November 12, not to worry!
You don't have to wait until the event to enjoy the discount prices. Prior to the event, every participating Macy's store has a "pre-sell" period of several days when you may select merchandise for purchase at the discount price. The sales associate rings it up as a "pre-sell," and the charge will not go through until the day of the event. Your merchandise is placed on hold, and you may pick up your merchandise on the day of the event or within a period of time after the event. Please contact your participating Macy's store for the specific dates of the store's pre-sell and pick-up periods.
At Macy's at Del Monte Shopping Center, Monterey, CA, the pre-sell period is taking place now! You may select merchandise for purchase at the discount price anytime between now and the day of the event on November 12. Merchandise is available for pick-up on the day of the event and within two weeks after the event.
